40 students from year 8 have arrived in Scotland.
We departed college at high
noon on Sunday 13 July and arrived at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre just after 5 pm. After getting
settled in to the comfy accommodation all the students donned their walking
boots and we went on a beautiful evening walk up a nearby hill called "The whangie"
pupils climbed 1400 feet and had panoramic views over Loch Lomand to the north
and the Clyde valley to the south. Students then dined on pizza and hot dogs
and watched some of the World Cup final.
