Shudda, Wudda, Cudda: Year 10 Quality of Life Day with LIFE
Charity, Liverpool.
Today our year 10 students studied what the word
‘Quality of Life’ means, we explored the choices young women make when faced
with unexpected pregnancy or especially having a child with a disability. Students reflected on the work of the UK Paralympians and why having a child born with a
disability, although challenging, should not be sad. The students especially enjoyed the famous
Team Hoyt story of the Father and Son, who complete triathlons together despite
Rick Hoyt being severely disabled yet he lives his life to the full.
The end of the session was the highlight as
our year 10’s organised clothes bags for Mums who may not be able to afford
clothes for their babies or who may be in very difficult situations.
