Today our Year 8 dual linguists enjoyed learning about
different aspects of Latin American culture through participating in a salsa
workshop in Liverpool. Our teacher was from Chile and shared stories with the
children of the importance of men being able to dance in South America and how
sometimes we see salsa moves on the football pitch!
Needless to say our
students did us proud, all fully participated in the dancing and practised
their Spanish. We hope we have ignited a passion for dance for some of our students
and reinforced their knowledge about and enthusiasm towards the culture
of the Spanish speaking world.
Well done to all who took part! Miss Khodja and
Mrs Roche.
